Holi celebrations start on the night before Holi with Holika Dahan, where people perform ritual customs in front of a bonfire and praying for their inner demerit to be destroyed, as Holika was killed in the fire.
The jubilation of colors begins the next morning, where people come out on the streets to play with colors, and downpour each other in colored water through balloons or water guns.
Mostly children enjoy the festival as they throw water-filled balloons on everyone passersby and if anybody looks they intimate, ‘Bura na mano Holi hai’ and Invoke a smile on the angry face. Besides, they have their water missiles, called pichkaris to drench the person from far and run for further drenching.

Clothes will be completely ruined, so do not wear fancy clothes. You need a t-shirt, pants or a long dress that you easily bin at the end of the day. Better buy cheap ‘Kurta and Pajama’. And talk about women: the color gets everywhere so choose an old dress that you are happy to load off from your collection at the end of the day.
You should pay more attention to your eyes because color can damage your eyes. For this, you can buy any cheap sunglasses. So that your eyes remain safe and at the same time you get the right look.

While playing Holi, apply a thick layer of any kind of body oil on your body and hair until they brighten up and you become slippery.
Use natural colors which look good and can easily take off. Colors such as are without brand have more harmful chemicals in them and should be avoided.
If the floor is slippery, stop your kids from running or jumping on the floor, so that your kids don’t injure.
If your kids have wart or pimple wash their face clean and consult your family doctor first.
Intimidate your children to play Holi with gutter water or mud. And teach them never to turn a blind eye to such clean ways of celebration from their friends.
Teach your children to respect others during Holi. Try to save yourself from all possible attacks from colors on the face and hair.
Do not drive if you are high on alcohol.
